How do I know how many strand of floss to use?
It is typically recommended to use 3.  We prefer to use only 2 when we do the outline stitch as it gives you a finer line.  When we do the cross stitch we use 3 as it fills out the stitch and makes it look fuller.

How do I know how many packages I need to do a project?
Each package description has the information on how many packages it will take to make a twin, queen, or king size quilt.  Also take into consideration on how the quilt will be put together.  Whether there is a 2 inch strip or a pieced quilt block or just interlocking blocks it will vary.  If you have a question on how to figure this out , please feel free to email us and we will try our best to help you figure out how many blocks you will  need.  drooper@frontiernet.net

What does interlocking blocks mean?
It means that all the blocks are sewn together without a strip of fabric between, as they form a design when they are sewn together.  It is recommended that your sew  your blocks together before you stitch them, as they can stretch from the embroidery hoop, and the designs may not match.

What is a applique?
A applique is a piece of material cut and sewn over the design to fill in the area specified.  Using coordinating and contrasting fabrics can give you a very unique look.

How do I end my thread?
On the last stitch weave your thread back under your work ending on the back and then tie your knot.
